FTPFan.com and Other Ramblings
FTPFan.com will be back up as soon as I get time to restore it to a new hosting company. I have about 5 sites down right now, and a lot of other work to do, but I'm trying my best to get everything back up.
Interesting Things I Have Seen Around
Paradise Poker
If you play a multi-table tournament on Paradise, right click on the tournament lobby and you can put it into mini-view. Basically the pertinent information shrinks down to a small window that is easy to keep track of. Pretty neat little feature.
Pacific Poker
There is daily $30,000 guarantees there, with a no vig buyin, but they have a very weird vig system. They take out of the total price pool by their 9%. This includes rebuys and addons. Since the $30K never really hits, there is still a good overlay, but from what I understand, if the total prize pool hits $30K, it gets completely reduced by 9%.
PokerStars
They started charging juice on all their $1, $2, and $3 tournies. It's a straight 10%, but all those dimes add up for them.
PartyPoker
They have rebounded from their screwing they gave everyone else very quickly. At times they have more players on without sharing the tables. Who would have thought. It's my opinion that much of this has to do with bots and other players taking advantage of the 10-tabling now allowed. I have to say that the tournament splitting for MTTs is a pretty neat feature.
That's it for now, but I'm going to try to keep more info posted here.
